Georgia Beats Tech for Seven in a Row
Beating Tech never gets old. Beating the Yellow Jackets for seven straight times is awesome. Yesterday the Dawgs struggled for the first three quarters before pulling away for the 31-17 win. I wonder how distracted the players were with the Kentucky/Tennessee game going on at the same time. Thanks to four overtimes that game didn't end until well into the third quarter of the Georgia game. The Dawgs aren't going to the SEC championship game this year. We got in a hole at the beginning of the season we just couldn't get out of... Tennessee appears to be the team of destiny given all the good breaks they've enjoyed the past few weeks.
Georgia has some good luck as well last night. We lost a fumble on a backwards pass that Tech managed to fumble out of the endzone, and we fumbled a punt into the endzone that we recovered. Stafford made the big pass when we needed it and Thomas Brown had a huge game. The win pretty much guarantees a spot in one of the BCS games. Right now it looks like the Rose or the Orange. If West Virginia loses against Pitt and Oklahoma defeats Missouri there's a change we could be playing for the national championship. What a crazy season.
