2007 SEC Preview - West

Auburn - Yeah that's right, Auburn. Everyone is picking LSU to win the conference but I just don't see that happening. Auburn has lost a lot of key players the past two seasons but they return the most important, the quarterback. Look for Brandon Cox to have an explosive season and guide Auburn to the SEC championship game.

LSU - Its difficult to find a weakness on this Tiger football team. Great defense, sound offense, and tons of talent sum up this squad. But there is one glaring weakness, coaching. Under Les Miles LSU has been unable to win a big conference game. Look for few more "what happened" games this season. LSU fans will want a new coach by seasons end.

Arkansas - Darren McFadded is awesome and backup Felix Jones isn't so bad himself. But you also have to throw the ball to win and Arkansas couldn't toss a ball from a boat and hit water! But the Hogs will be a tough team and will win some big games this season.

Alabama - Nick Saban will put Alabama back on the map in college football. But it will take more than one season to do this. The SEC is just too tough and recruiting will be much tougher than it was at LSU. The future may be bright in Tuscaloosa but this season may be rough.

Mississippi/Mississippi St. - Coin toss time! These two schools have passed Vanderbilt and Kentucky as the proverbial doormat of the SEC.
