Week #9

Welcome to the game that once had a name. For the past few seasons UGA has entered this game with a lot the line. But these Dawgs enter the showdown unranked for the first time since the Donnan era. UGA can win this game though. It's basically all up to the offense and its simple. Stafford must be something he hasn't been, flawless. That means no turnovers! Ball Control! Keep the D off the field! Florida is #1 in the nation in penalties Georgia must capitalize on this. Expect the Bulldogs to fight hard in this one. Florida is coming off a bye week after a tough loss to Auburn. I might be crazy but look for the Dawgs to play spoiler and win a crazy game 26-25.
Around the nation:
Auburn 28 Ole Miss 11: Auburn has life again after defeating Florida but must impress the voters in this SEC West match-up. Ole Miss has a feisty defense and will put up a fight at home.
Oregon St. 29 USC 28: Oregon St. is coming off a tough defeat against Wash. St. and will be ready for a big showdown against the Trojans of Southern Cal. USC hasn't been that impressive and are basically due to lose, can't be that dominant forever.
Georgia Tech 28 Miami 10: The fear factor is gone. In a fistfight I like the Canes, but this is a football contest so I like GT to bounce back. The hurricanes almost lost to Duke last week, there are some issues in south Florida.
Tennessee 25 South Carolina 24: These two coaches really don't like each other. S.C. pulled off the biggest win in school history by defeating the Vols in Knoxville last season. Tennessee will have revenge on their minds this season and SEC title hopes on the line.
